Recall: Certain Child Seats may Damage Seat Belt Buckles - Posted: Tuesday, June 19, 2018

VW Atlas MY18Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2018 Volkswagen Atlas vehicles. The center and adjacent outboard seat belt buckles in the second row can become damaged by a child seat base that makes contact or pushes against it. A damaged seat belt buckle can release unexpectedly. Volkswagen dealers will inspect the seat belt buckles and replace them, if necessary as well as provide an owner's manual supplement. A protective cover for the seat belt buckle can be obtained from a Volkswagen dealer for use when a CR is installed with LATCH. The NHTSA Campaign Number is 18V380000. Click here for more info.
