The 14th edition of this resource for CPS Technicians working with caregivers will provide guidance for the proper use of the LATCH system, including general advice as well as new and updated instructions from manufacturers about specific CRs and vehicles.

Orders shipped to Indiana or Washington state: If your shipping address is in Washington state or Indiana AND you are tax-exempt AND are paying by credit card, please contact us before ordering so we can ensure you will be not charged tax.  (NOTE: There’s no need to call in any other scenario, as no tax will be charged.  Customers from Washington or Indiana using a purchase order should send their tax-exempt number/document along with their purchase order, if applicable.)

As in the past, Safe Ride News will arrange for the 2025 LATCH Manual to be sold through a Canadian distributor in order to speed delivery and keep costs down for customers shipping to addresses in Canada.  Please send an email to latchcanada@gmail.com  and/or info@saferidenews.com to make arrangements to have your information added to a pre-order list for orders that will be shipped within Canada in January.

SRN’s biennial release of a new LATCH Manual edition includes updates to manufacturer instructions for use of lower anchors and tethers of some CR products and vehicles.

It is intended to assist the Child Passenger Safety community by clarifying challenging vehicle LATCH situations that are more creative, complex or confusing than most.  If a vehicle model has an entry in the LATCH Gallery, this is mentioned in the Notes section of its Appendix B entry in your new LATCH Manual.
